Defects to look out for when taking over a new house

Check for bad or uneven layering of floor tiles – roll marbles across the floor to see if they bounce.

Warped Table tops – Use handphone app – Spirit Level 3rd

Air-con leaks – Turn on aircon while inspecting the house to see if the piping are done properly.

Water flow in the toilets – make sure that there are no puddles of water on the floor

Uneven fixtures – Check insides of cabinets and wardrobes

Taps and sink – Turn on taps and make sure that the water are drained quickly

Toilet bowl – Flush the toilets to make sure that they are functioning properly.

Windows – Check the window frames for scratches, dirt patches and paint marks. Must check on the glass too.
